Birth of Venus Pt 1

This dress was inspired by a virtual reality (VR) sketch. I had never worked with VR before, therefore my sketch was not the most precise but, due to the variety of material available in VR, I was able to stitch my creativity to make a tangible garment. I decided to make a garment that was more about art than practicality, trying to find a middle grown. The garment is made with crepe back satin and mesh bustier, a mesh top skirt, and a mix of chiffon, tulle, and organza for the flared bottom. With hand sewn ostrich feathers and pearl beading.
